Well clothes shopping today, 2 items I thought would look great didn't, and 3 items I thought would look unflattering looked great! It just shows how deceptive clothes on a hanger can be.

Pineapple yellow frill and sequin shirt. Looks clean fresh, and gives a feminine shape without looking overly frilly.

Red Herring Green shirt. Looks cute with the little square buttons, but also gives a feminine curve and extenuates the chest area, making it look deceptively bigger due to the rouches. To look at it without trying it on you wouldn't think it would.

Dorothy Perkins black zip up cardigan. On a hanger or out flat it looks boring and not very cute, however on it is a lovely fitted cut that looks really quite casual and cute. Very handy to have too as it would go with any top and jeans. Again, it is very deceptive. ATM 20% off!

And as just an addition to this post to show what I bought on the same shopping trip, debenhams pack of 2 knee high socks. I find the right pair of knee highs can be very cute on and sometimes even sexy, this goes for over knee also.

So before you judge something as unflattering, give it a chance and try it on, it may surprise you!
